The latest turn of events to this end was in the form of a decision by the Punjab and Haryana High Court itself directing a review of the possibility of building a new judicial complex by the Chandigarh Administration in the state capital city, in the citys IT Park environs. The observation was made by the court in one of the hearings held before unresolved issues of infrastructure, regarding the judiciary. The High Court according to the latest news stated that there is a need to develop a modern facility which should be able to cater to the future needs as well as to take off the load of the old court infrastructure which had been newly set in the heart of the city.
The Chandigarh Administration has in this regard been requested to prepare a detailed report where they should consider whether the IT Park is suitable as the proposed complex. This is the news that is showing the concern of the lack of space and the improved facilities to the judicial officers as well as people. Once accepted, the shift would serve to decongest central Chandigarh besides adding to the tempo of developing the IT Park area so that it becomes a new centre of civic infrastructure.
